Content Management System (CMS)

A content management system (CMS) is used to manage articles and other content on a website. CMSs can range from the simple to the complex, where more than just the content of articles is managed. A CMS can be written from scratch for each project, but there are also very well established general purpose CMSs. Examples of popular PHP CMSs are Mambo, Joomla and Drupal.
